Do You Know the Lord? |
Admit Your Sin: First, you must admit that you are a sinner. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It is our sin that separates us from God and from fulfilling our deepest needs and longings. Sin is an offense against God that carries a serious penalty. According to Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is death [eternal separation from the love and mercy of God]." Abandon Your Efforts: Second, you must abandon any efforts to save yourself. If we could save ourselves, Jesus' death would have been unnecessary! Even "getting religion" cannot get you to heaven. The Bible says it is "not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His [God's] mercy He saved us" (Titus 3:5). Salvation is by God's grace, "not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Accept Christ as Your Savior: Salvation is God's gift to you. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). When someone offers you a priceless gift, the wisest thing you can do is accept it! This very moment, you can receive Christ's gift of salvation by sincerely praying this simple prayer from your heart: Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You love me and want to save me. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I now turn from my sin and, by faith, receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and save me, Lord Jesus. In Your name I pray, Amen. If you have not yet made a decision for Christ, we urge you to receive Him today. If you have accepted Christ as your personal savior and have started on this journey, we want to hear about it. Kristen Roller is a teacher by trade and holds a Master's degree in education. Though she began her career as a music educator, she continued her education career as a kindergarten teacher and then trained to become a Literacy Coach for the Cumberland County School system. After following a strong call from the Lord she left the education field in 2007 to accept the position of Worship Leader at Shoreline Baptist church in Southport, NC. God continued to change her path and quickly led her to a position along side her husband, Rick, in his company S&S Inc. This was a blessing that enabled them to focus on the ministry God put before them. During this time she was able to complete her second CD project, "Journey." In October of 2008, Kristen had the opportunity to return to a kindergarten classroom for the rest of the 2008-2009 school year. After much prayer she realized God had a purpose for her in that position and accepted the opportunity. She continues to seek God daily for the next step he would have her take Kristen spent the first 3 years of her ministry as a worship artist for the Pillar Music Group recording company based in Wilmington, NC. Singing with the Pillar ensemble of artists she traveled to various churches, conferences, and festivals and shared the Gospel in song. As a part of the Wilmington Celebration Choir, under the direction of Joey Gore, she and her husband, Rick, had the opportunity to minister in song with many wonderful Christian recording artists. She continues to have the opportunity to lead women's conferences with Voice of Ruth, a newly organized female group of Pillar Music artists. Kristen finished her first recording project entitled "Beautiful Day" in December 2005. The project includes three original songs that scored highly in the 2006 Emergent Gospel Songfest. Along with her husband, Rick, she established Roller Ministries. This ministry was dedicated in a special service at Shoreline Baptist Church on January 14th, 2006. In the start of 2008, God allowed Kristen to begin a new solo recording project. This new "Journey " has just been released. It also contains several original songs as well as a variety of musical styles. This is a truly uplifting CD of praise! |
